New Delhi: Bank of Baroda has formalized a strategic partnership with NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML) to strengthen the Agency Bank operations for the Office of the Registrar General, Ministry of Home Affairs (Vital Statistics Division) in Maharashtra. This collaboration aims to provide seamless technical and banking support, streamlining vital government processes related to civil registration and vital statistics.
Key Collaboration Details
Under the agreement, NDML will take on the role of Technical Service Provider (TSP), offering technological infrastructure and support necessary for smooth operations. Bank of Baroda, on the other hand, will be responsible for managing financial functions including collections, remittances to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), reconciliation, and Management Information System (MIS) reporting. These activities will be facilitated through the e-Kuber platform, the RBI’s core banking solution, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and real-time monitoring.
Leadership Participation and Strategic Significance
The signing ceremony and discussions were attended by key officials from both organizations. Representing Bank of Baroda were Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, General Manager and Zonal Head of Mumbai Zone; Mr. Manoj Gupta, Deputy General Manager (Business Development); and Mr. Vimlesh Jhalani, Deputy General Manager and Regional Head. NDML was represented by Mr. Sameer Gupte, Managing Director & CEO, and Mr. Hamid Arif, Head of Business.
This partnership is expected to enhance the efficiency and accountability of the vital statistics collection process in Maharashtra, which plays a crucial role in demographic planning, policy-making, and governance.
