New Delhi: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), Ghaziabad unit, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) to distribute assistive devices to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PwDs) in Rajasthan.
Devices to be Distributed in Dholpur and Jaisalmer
The initiative, with a total value of ₹100 lakhs, will be implemented in the aspirational districts of Dholpur and Jaisalmer, where ALIMCO will conduct special camps to identify and support eligible beneficiaries.
The project aims to enhance the mobility, independence, and quality of life of recipients through the provision of cost-effective and certified assistive devices.

The MoU was formally signed by Mrs Rashmi Kathuria, GM (SCCS) & Unit Head, BEL Ghaziabad, and Mr Vivek Dwivedi, GM (Marketing), ALIMCO, in the presence of senior officers from both organisations.
Wide Range of Supportive Equipment
Under the programme, beneficiaries will receive ISI-marked assistive devices, including–
- Motorised tricycles
- Manual wheelchairs
- Hearing aids
- Smart canes
- Smartphones and tablets
- Other mobility and support tools
These devices are intended to improve access, inclusion, and dignity for those with physical challenges, aligning with the government’s broader goals of accessible and inclusive development.
