New Delhi: In a major move to enhance public healthcare infrastructure, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has donated critical surgical equipment to the District Combined Hospital, Ghaziabad, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The donation aims to boost the hospital’s surgical capabilities and provide better medical services to both urban and rural patients in the region.

Modern Operation Theatre Equipment Donated

The donation includes state-of-the-art medical devices that will significantly improve the hospital’s surgical facilities. The equipment provided by BEL comprises:

  • Two anesthesia machines
  • Three operation theatre (OT) tables
  • Three OT surgical lights

These advanced systems are set to be installed in the General Operation Theatres and the Gynecology OT of the hospital, enabling doctors to perform complex surgeries more efficiently and safely.

Handover Ceremony and Key Officials

The equipment was formally handed over by Vikraman N, Director (HR) of BEL, to Dr. Akhilesh Mohan, Chief Medical Officer of Ghaziabad. The ceremony was attended by senior officials and medical authorities, including:

  • Rashmi Kathuria, General Manager (SCCS) and Unit Head, BEL Ghaziabad
  • Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Medical Superintendent, District Combined Hospital
  • Dr. Nalini, Senior Medical Official

Officials highlighted that the new equipment will strengthen the hospital’s surgical infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and support high-quality patient care.

Benefits for Urban and Rural Patients

The District Combined Hospital serves a large population from both Ghaziabad city and nearby rural districts. With the upgraded operation theatre facilities, the hospital can now accommodate a higher number of surgeries, reduce waiting times, and provide enhanced care to economically weaker sections. Doctors believe that the modern OT equipment will lead to better treatment outcomes and a more streamlined surgical process.

BEL’s Commitment to Healthcare and Community Welfare

This initiative in Ghaziabad is part of BEL’s ongoing CSR efforts, which focus on healthcare, education, skill development, and community welfare. By supporting projects that strengthen public healthcare infrastructure, BEL contributes to improving access to quality medical services for underserved communities across India.
