BEML Secures ₹414 Crore Order from BMRCL to Supply Additional Trainsets for Bangalore Metro Rail Phase II

Bangalore: BEML Limited, a leading public sector company, has received an additional order worth ₹414 crore from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for the supply of trainsets under Phase II of the Bangalore Metro Rail Project. This new order is part of BEML’s ongoing contracts for metro rail supply and strengthens the company’s presence in India’s rapidly growing urban mobility sector.

Order Received in Normal Course of Business

The company informed both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, confirming that the order was received in the normal course of business. This underscores BEML’s steady engagement with urban infrastructure projects across India.

Corporate Confirmation

Urmi Chaudhury, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of BEML, confirmed the receipt of the order from the corporate office in Bangalore. She emphasized that the contract reinforces BEML’s commitment to providing reliable metro rail solutions and supports the government’s initiatives to expand sustainable and efficient urban transport networks.

Boosting Urban Mobility Portfolio

With this order, BEML further consolidates its portfolio in urban mobility solutions, highlighting its continued contribution to India’s metro rail infrastructure development. The additional trainsets are expected to improve operational efficiency and commuter capacity for the Bangalore Metro, one of India’s largest urban rail networks.
