BEML Donates Electric Vehicles to AIIMS Delhi for Eco-Friendly Patient Mobility

BEML Limited has donated electric vehicles to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. In a formal handover ceremony, BEML’s CMD, Mr. Shantanu Roy, presented the vehicle keys to AIIMS Director, Dr. M. Srinivas, in the presence of senior AIIMS doctors and BEML’s functional directors at the AIIMS campus.

This initiative is aimed at enhancing patient transportation within the hospital, ensuring seamless and eco-friendly mobility for those in need. The newly deployed electric vehicles will particularly aid senior citizens and patients with mobility challenges, enabling efficient and effortless movement across the AIIMS campus.

Emphasizing BEML’s commitment to sustainable innovation, Mr. Roy stated,

“At BEML, we believe that innovation and sustainability must go hand in hand. Our CSR initiatives are driven by the vision of making a real difference in communities. This contribution to AIIMS Delhi is a testament to our commitment to enabling cleaner, greener, and more inclusive mobility solutions in critical public spaces. We will continue to leverage technology and expertise to drive positive social and environmental impact.”

AIIMS officials appreciated this transformative initiative, highlighting its impact on patient care and hospital logistics.

Beyond this effort, BEML remains actively engaged in CSR programs, focusing on education, skill development, healthcare, community upliftment, rehabilitation of specially-abled individuals, hunger and malnutrition eradication, afforestation, sanitation, and clean drinking water accessibility.

Aligned with the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission, BEML actively supports sanitation and hygiene programs, promoting a healthier and more sustainable environment. A significant portion of its CSR efforts is directed towards backward districts, ensuring the upliftment of underprivileged communities and fostering inclusive growth and development.

With a steadfast commitment to sustainability and social impact, BEML continues to set new benchmarks in corporate leadership, integrating cutting-edge technology, environmental stewardship, and community welfare into its core values.
