BEML Limited, a leading mining and construction equipment manufacturer in India, has launched its indigenously designed and developed Motor Grader BG 1205 at its Mysuru complex. The launch event was attended by Mr. Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML Ltd., who flagged off the equipment in the presence of Mr. Harish Duhan, Chairman and Managing Director of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL), along with BEML’s functional directors and senior officers.

The introduction of the BG 1205 highlights BEML’s commitment to self-reliance, aligning with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. This cutting-edge equipment, featuring a 24-foot blade, is designed to meet the evolving demands of the mining sector. Built for high-intensity operations in key regions like SECL Bilaspur and Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) in Singrauli, the grader enhances road-laying efficiency, ensuring better support for high-capacity dumpers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shantanu Roy emphasized the company’s focus on research and development, stating, “This launch reaffirms our commitment to future-proofing the mining sector through innovation. We are proud to introduce this advanced equipment, which will significantly contribute to India’s mining infrastructure.”
Mr. Harish Duhan also lauded BEML’s efforts, noting, “BEML’s equipment has always delivered value in our mining operations. The BG 1205 is a testament to their dedication to developing cutting-edge solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.”
