Bengaluru: As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, BEML Limited, in collaboration with various member organizations of the Vigilance Study Circle, Bengaluru (VSCB), organized a Walkathon today in the city to emphasize the core values of integrity, transparency, and ethical governance in public life. The event was held with the participation of several esteemed organizations, including HAL, BEL, BMRCL, KIOCL, Canara Bank, ITI, HMT, KAPL, and BRBNMPL.
Walkathon Flagged Off by Key Officials
The Walkathon was flagged off by the President of VSCB and the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of BEML, accompanied by CVOs from other member organizations, from Outer Gate – A of Kanteerava Stadium. Over 300 participants from various organizations joined the initiative, underscoring their commitment to promoting ethical values and integrity.

BEML Directors Show Strong Support
In attendance were the Directors of BEML Limited – Director (HR), Director (Mining and Construction), and Director (Rail & Metro), who actively participated in the event. They encouraged employees to live by principles of honesty and integrity, not just in their professional lives but in their personal conduct as well.
Promoting Ethical Conduct and Good Governance
The Walkathon was aimed at spreading awareness among employees and the general public about the importance of ethical conduct and collective responsibility in fostering good governance. Participants carried placards and banners with powerful messages such as “Say No to Corruption,” “Integrity – A Way of Life,” and “Together Towards a Corruption-Free Society.”
CVO’s Message on Preventive Vigilance
Speaking at the event, the CVO of BEML emphasized the need for preventive vigilance and encouraged everyone to uphold high standards of accountability and honesty in all their dealings. The walkathon concluded at the Kanteerava Stadium, with the administration reaffirming its commitment to maintaining transparency and ethical values in every activity.
Vigilance Awareness Week Activities
The Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, observed by BEML Limited from October 27 to November 2, will include a series of activities such as integrity pledges, seminars, competitions, and outreach programs designed to reinforce the spirit of vigilance and good governance across all its units and offices.
