Bengal: IAS Officer Will Train Under Duare Sarkar

Indian Masterminds Stories

The state government has ordered district wise training of new IAS officers through its scheme Duare Sarkar (Government at the Door). The batch of new IAS officers of September 2021 has joined the state.

They should be trained in the district as per tradition. The State Secretariat has linked every officer of that batch to the government program in the district. Administrative observers are of the view that it is very important for the concerned officers to have the experience of the government at the doorstep before attending the mandatory training of the center in Delhi. With this, they will not face any difficulty in their work on their return from Delhi.

So far 13 officers of the 2021 batch have lived in the Netaji Subhash Administrative Training Center. As per the guidelines, they have been sent to both Medinipur, Hooghly, Purulia, Bankura, Nadia, North 24 Parganas, Birbhum, Howrah, East Burdwan, Jalpaiguri, Murshidabad and Cooch Behar. The concerned district magistrates have been asked to assign other work to the probationary officers in government camps.
