Nangal, Rupnagar: Bhagwant Mann on Friday inaugurated several development projects in Nangal, Rupnagar, aiming to empower youth, improve infrastructure, and enhance educational and technological opportunities in the city.
Captain Anmol Kalia Centre of Excellence to Boost Skills Development
CM Mann laid the foundation for the Captain Anmol Kalia Centre of Excellence at ITI Nangal, a ₹23 crore modern skill development facility. The center will offer courses in robotics, electric vehicle (EV) technology, 3D printing, drone technology, air hostess training, and civil aviation, providing training to over 500 trainees.
He emphasized that the initiative is part of the government’s commitment to making Punjab’s youth skilled, employable, and empowered.
Educational and Infrastructure Projects Launched
In addition to the Centre of Excellence, CM Mann inaugurated:
- A 500-seat auditorium at Bhimrao Ambedkar School of Eminence
- A ₹10 crore glass bridge project
- Educational projects worth ₹18 crore
These initiatives are expected to enhance education and technology in Nangal, opening new avenues for students and local residents.
Water Supply and Land Ownership Projects
Addressing local needs, CM Mann also:
- Laid the foundation for a ₹17 crore treated water supply project
- Announced the transfer of ownership for over 800 acres of surplus land to local residents
These projects aim to improve living standards and ensure sustainable urban development in the region.
New Industrial Focal Point to Spur Local Economy
A new industrial focal point in Nangal was announced to generate employment opportunities for skilled youth. Officials say this initiative will provide direct benefits to citizens, supporting self-employment and local entrepreneurship.
Transforming Nangal’s Landscape Through Government Initiatives
The Punjab government’s multi-pronged development strategy is expected to reshape the city’s infrastructure, education, and economy. CM Mann highlighted that these projects will empower residents, boost skill development, and contribute to building a prosperous and modern Punjab.
