Bharat Electronics Q3 FY26 Net Profit Soars 22% to ₹1,590 Cr on Strong Defence Electronics Execution, Revenue Rises 24%

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), the Navratna defence public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, reported a strong financial performance in Q3 FY26, driven by higher execution of defence electronics projects and robust order inflows.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, BEL’s consolidated net profit rose 22.08% year-on-year to ₹1,590 crore (₹16 billion), compared with ₹1,311 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company’s performance beat analyst estimates of ₹1,400 crore by over 14%, highlighting strong operational momentum.

Revenue Growth Driven by Defence Electronics Execution

BEL’s revenue from operations increased 23.7% year-on-year to ₹7,121.98 crore, up from ₹5,756.12 crore in Q3 FY25, supported by higher execution across key defence and strategic electronics projects.

  • Consolidated net profit: ₹16 billion (↑ 22.08%)

Strong Outperformance Against Analyst Estimates

Bharat Electronics delivered a notable earnings surprise in the third quarter:

  • Analyst estimate: ₹14 billion
  • Reported net profit: ₹16 billion
  • Earnings beat: 14.29%

The outperformance reflects BEL’s strong order execution, operational efficiencies, and favourable demand conditions in the defence sector.

Nine-Month Performance Shows Sustained Growth

On a cumulative basis up to Q3 FY26, BEL reported healthy growth across all key parameters:

Financial Performance (April–December FY26)

  • Revenue from operations: ₹17,302.46 crore (FY25: ₹14,538.30 crore)
  • PBT: ₹5,171.22 crore (FY25: ₹4,242.37 crore)
  • PAT: ₹3,845.32 crore (FY25: ₹3,183.47 crore)

Robust Order Book Ensures Revenue Visibility

BEL’s order book stood at ₹73,015 crore as of January 1, 2026, providing strong visibility for revenue growth in the coming quarters. Continued demand from the Indian armed forces and government-backed defence modernisation programmes remains a key growth driver.

Board Approval and Audit Review

The Board of Directors approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results at its meeting held on January 28, 2026, which was reviewed by the Audit Committee and subjected to a limited review by the statutory auditors.

Outlook: Defence Sector Tailwinds Support Growth

BEL continues to play a critical role in India’s defence and strategic electronics ecosystem. Sustained government focus on defence indigenisation, modernisation, and long-term procurement programmes is expected to support the company’s growth trajectory.
