Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated Bharat Parv–2025 at the Statue of Unity premises in Ekta Nagar, celebrating India’s unity in diversity. The event, organised to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, aims to showcase the country’s cultural richness and promote national integration through art, food, and heritage.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Assembly Speaker Mr Shankar Chaudhary, Minister of State for Tribal Development and Food & Civil Supplies Mr P. C. Baranda, and other dignitaries.
“Bharat Parv Embodies the Prime Minister’s Mantra of Unity”: CM Bhupendra Patel
Speaking at the event, CM Patel said Bharat Parv represents the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave the inspiring mantra –
“Rajya Anek, Rashtra Ek; Samaj Anek, Bharat Ek; Bhasha Anek, Bhaav Ek; Rang Anek, Tiranga Ek.”
He added that the festival symbolizes the country’s unity in diversity, offering a vibrant glimpse of India’s collective spirit and cultural richness.
The Chief Minister lauded the Statue of Unity as a grand tribute to Sardar Patel’s vision of national unity and credited the Prime Minister’s leadership for transforming Ekta Nagar into a world-class tourism destination and a global symbol of India’s heritage, nature, and progress.

“Sardar Patel’s Legacy Now Lives as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”
CM Patel highlighted that under PM Modi’s leadership, October 31 – Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary – has been celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) since 2014.
He said that what was once a formal observance has now become a national movement celebrating unity, transforming Sardar Patel’s legacy into a living inspiration for generations.
“Decades after independence, we are fortunate to have a Prime Minister whose leadership truly embodies the spirit of ‘Nation First’,” the Chief Minister said.
15 Days of Cultural Celebrations at Bharat Parv 2025
Bharat Parv–2025 will be celebrated over 15 days at Ekta Nagar. The event will feature –
- Cultural performances by two states every evening.
- 45 food stalls and a live studio kitchen showcasing regional delicacies from various states and Union Territories.
- 55 stalls of handicrafts and handlooms, promoting artisans and local craftsmanship.
- A special Bharat Darshan Pavilion displaying prominent tourist destinations and cultural traditions from different states.
The Chief Minister also announced that a special presentation would be held on November 15, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of tribal icon Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

“Bharat Parv Revives India’s Soul – Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi”
Highlighting the theme of the festival, CM Patel said Bharat Parv truly reflects the essence of “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi” – development along with heritage.
He urged everyone to embrace the Prime Minister’s vision of
“Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, Sauno Prayas,”
and work collectively towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
He also praised the Madhavpur Fair, Saurashtra-Tamil Sangamam, and Kashi-Tamil Sangamam as successful examples of cultural unity, much like Bharat Parv.

The event saw the presence of MP Shri Jashubhai Rathva, MLA Dr. Darshanaben Deshmukh, District Panchayat President Shri Bhimsinh Tadvi, MD of SSNNL Shri Mukesh Puri, Tourism Secretary Shri Rajender Kumar, MD of Tourism Corporation Shri Prabhav Joshi, CEO of Statue of Unity Shri Amit Arora, Tribal Development Commissioner Shri Ashishkumar, Collector Shri S. K. Modi, DDO Shri R. V. Vala, DG Police Shri Sandeep Singh, District Police Chief Ms. Vishakha Dabral, and other senior officials.
CM Patel also visited various stalls showcasing crafts, cuisine, and tourism attractions during the event.
