Bharat Tex 2026 Mobile App Launched by Textile Secretary Neelam Shami Rao Ahead of Mega Global Textile Event

NEW DELHI: Ms Neelam Shami Rao, an IAS officer of 1992 batch from MP cadre, on Tuesday launched the Bharat Tex 2026 Mobile App, a unified digital platform aimed at enhancing the experience of buyers, exhibitors, delegates and visitors attending Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event.

The app has been designed as a comprehensive digital companion for the textile fraternity and reflects the event’s digital-first approach focused on seamless networking, business engagement and visitor convenience.

Bharat Tex 2026 to Be Held at Bharat Mandapam

Bharat Tex 2026 will be held from July 14 to 17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The mega textile event is expected to attract:

  • Over 7,000 international buyers
  • More than 1.3 lakh trade visitors
  • Participants from across the global textile ecosystem

The event will showcase India’s integrated textile value chain, including fibres, yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handlooms, handicrafts and sustainable textile technologies.

Unified Digital Companion for Textile Industry Stakeholders

The Bharat Tex App has been developed to provide registered participants with a single digital interface for accessing event services and information.

  • QR-based lead capture
  • Knowledge session access
  • Real-time updates and alerts

The app offers customised engagement tools for exhibitors, speakers, international delegates, sourcing consultants, overseas buyers and general visitors.

AI Smart Assistant to Provide 24×7 Support

One of the key highlights of the app is its AI-powered Smart Assistant, which will function as a round-the-clock conversational guide for attendees.

Users will be able to ask event-related questions in simple language and receive instant information regarding:

  • Venue details
  • Event schedules
  • Directions
  • Session timings
  • Booth locations
  • General event support

The feature is aimed at improving accessibility and convenience for both Indian and international participants.

Smart Networking and Lead Management Features

The app will facilitate structured business networking through dedicated meeting and engagement modules.

Participants will be able to:

  • Discover relevant business partners
  • Schedule and manage meetings
  • Send and receive meeting requests
  • Track confirmed interactions

Additionally, the Lead Wallet and QR-based lead capture system will allow exhibitors and visitors to scan digital badges and securely save contact information for post-event follow-up.

To improve visitor experience at Bharat Mandapam, the app will include advanced navigation tools with:

Global buyers and sourcing professionals will also be able to search exhibitors by company name, product category and exhibitor type for targeted sourcing and efficient business engagement.

The app will provide live access to event schedules and conference sessions, enabling participants to create personalised agendas and receive session alerts.

Bharat Tex Inspired by PM’s 5F Vision

Bharat Tex 2026 is being organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation with support from the Ministry of Textiles.

Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign

The initiative seeks to position India as a sustainable, innovation-driven and globally reliable textile sourcing and investment destination.
