New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced that its shareholders have approved the appointment of M/s Akhil Rohatgi & Co., Practising Company Secretaries, as Secretarial Auditors for a five-year term from FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30. The approval was granted at the company’s 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on August 19, 2025.
Alignment with SEBI Regulations
The appointment has been made in compliance with Regulation 30 and Regulation 24A of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Earlier in January 2024, BHEL had engaged Akhil Rohatgi & Co. for the period FY 2023-24 to FY 2026-27. With shareholder approval, the tenure now extends until FY 2029-30 under the same terms and conditions set by the Board of Directors.
Experienced Auditors with CPSE Expertise
M/s Akhil Rohatgi & Co., a peer-reviewed firm of Practising Company Secretaries with ICSI Registration Code P1995DE072900, has extensive experience in secretarial and corporate governance audits. The firm has conducted audits for several Maharatna and Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). It has also completed BHEL’s Secretarial Audits for FY 2023-24 and FY 2024-25. The firm has confirmed that it fulfills all eligibility criteria prescribed under SEBI rules and is not disqualified for the appointment.
