14 IPS officers across the state have been given promotion in Bihar. According to the order issued by Home Department, three DIG have been made IG while 11 SP have been promoted to DIG. Even after the promotion they will continue to their current role until further orders.
IPS officer Shivdeep Lande has been promoted as IG. He is currently posted as Kosi Range DIG. Besides him, CID DIG Garima Malik and Surveillance DIG S Premalata have been promoted to IG rank. All three of them are 2006 batch IPS of Bihar cadre.
11 PROMOTED AS DIG
11 officers who are currently serving as SP has been promoted to DIG. This includes Patna’s SSP Rajeev Mishra who will also continue in his post despite being promoted to DIG. Apart from him, SP Meenu Kumari, SP Deepak Varnwal of the State Crime Records Bureau, Assistant Inspector General of Police Nilesh Kumar, Principal of Sepoy Training Center Simulatalla and Joint Commissioner Mrityunjay Kumar Chaudhary, Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-CH, Muzaffarpur Tawheed Parvez, pecial Branch SP Abhay Kumar Lal and Rashid Zaman, Dial-112 Service SP Anil Kumar, Bihar Police Academy Assistant Director Arvind Kumar Gupta and Bihar Special Armed Police-5, Patna Commandant Pramod Kumar Mandal have been promoted to DIG. All the 11 officers are of 2010 batch.
