The government of Bihar has recently mandated a significant police reshuffle by transferring 29 IPS officers. Superintendents of Police (SPs) of 15 districts, including Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Gopalganj, Purnia, Samastipur, East and West Champaran, have been reshuffled.
IPS Vinay Tiwari has been made the new Rail SP of Muzaffarpur. IPS Swapna Gautam Meshram was appointed Commandant of BSAP-3, Bodh Gaya, while Additional charge of BSAP-17. IPS Deepak Ranjan became the Assistant Inspector General of Police in BSAP.
IPS Upendra Nath Verma, last posted as SP of Purnia, has been made BSAP-10, Patna, while IPS Anant Kumar Rai has been made BSAP-16, Patna. Dr. Gaurav Mangla was asked to take charge as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Railways. IPS D Amarkesh has been given the responsibility of SP of Cyber Training Portal and Coordination in the Economic Offences Unit.
IPS Pankaj Kumar was made SP of the State Crime Records Bureau while IPS Jitendra Kumar has been given the post of SP Weaker Section and SP of Mahila Koshang in CID. IPS Vineet Kumar was transferred to the Special Branch, while IPS Pramod Kumar Yadav was given charge of the STF. Mr. Manish Kumar has been made SP of the Central Selection Council (Constable Recruitment).
Along with the City and Rural SPs of Patna, the City SPs of Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga were made the police captain of the districts. Darbhanga City SP, IPS Shubham Arya, has been appointed as the new SP of Buxar while, Muzaffarpur City SP, IPS Awadhesh Dixit, has been appointed as the new SP of Gopalganj. IPS Vaibhav Sharma has been made the new SP of Katihar, IPS Shailesh Kumar Sinha was made Sheohar SP, and IPS Bambam Chaudhary has been made the new SP of the Surveillance Investigation Bureau.
IPS Ajay Kumar, who was made SP of Lakhisarai, is currently undergoing training at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad. In such a situation, Sheikhpura SP Baliram Chaudhary has got the additional charge of Lakhisarai SP.
