The state government of Bihar has promoted 32 IPS officer. According to a notification issued by Home department four IPS officers have been promoted from IG to ADG, nine from DIG to IG and eight from SP to DIG rank. 11 SP rank police officers have been promoted from Junior Administrative Category to Senior Category (Selection Grade).
IG Prohibition Amrit Raj, IG Magadh Range MR Nayak and Special Secretary Home Department KS Anupam have been made ADGs. Ratna Katiyar has also been given promotion from IG to ADG. Eight officers have been made DIGs. He has went on central deputation.
EIGHT IPS INCLUDING SSP PROMOTED TO DIG
Patna SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon, Gaya SSP Harpreet Kaur, Muzaffarpur SSP Jayantkant, Bhagalpur SSP Babu Ram have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
NINE OFFICER PROMOTED TO IG
IPS officers Kshatranil Singh, P Kannan, Rajesh Tripathi, Naval Kishore Singh, Rajeev Ranjan have been promoted from DIG to IG.They all are from 2005 batch. Besides them DIG Nishant Kumar Tiwari, Jitendra Rana, Manu Maharaj, M Sunil went on central deputation. Kumar Nayak has also been given proforma promotion to the post of IG.
Nine IPS officers of the year 2010 batch have been promoted from Junior Administrative Category to Senior Category. It includes Deepak Varnwal, Nilesh Kumar, Mrityunjay Kumar Chaudhary, Tauheed Parvez, Abhay Kumar Lal, Rashid Jaman, Anil Kumar, Arvind Kumar Gupta, Pramod Kumar Mandal. Apart from this, two IPS officers, Rajeev Mishra and Hari Prasad S.
