Patna: Patna is set to witness significant relief from traffic jams as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a new six-lane pull-up ramp at Didarganj on Saturday. The ramp, built at a cost of ₹44 crore, connects the Kachhidargah-Bidupur six-lane bridge directly to Patna city, facilitating smoother vehicle movement and reducing congestion inside the city.
Direct Connection to Six-Lane Bridge
The newly opened ramp begins at the final stretch of the JP Ganga Path near Didarganj and provides direct access to the six-lane bridge, allowing vehicles traveling to and from Patna to bypass the city’s internal roads. This development is expected to lower traffic pressure in the city and save commuters from long traffic jams.
Officials Brief CM Nitish Kumar on Road Connectivity
During the inauguration ceremony, officials provided Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with detailed information on the road connectivity and the improved traffic flow expected from the ramp. The Chief Minister also directed that the adjoining service roads be repaired and upgraded to ensure smooth vehicular movement.
