Patna, Bihar: In a gesture of honoring the supreme sacrifice made by Border Security Force (BSF) Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz, who was martyred during “Operation Sindoor” in Jammu & Kashmir’s RS Pura sector, the Bihar government has fulfilled a commitment made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The government has issued a formal notification offering a government job to the son of the martyr, Mohammad Imdad Raza, under the compassionate appointment scheme.

A Promise Fulfilled by CM Nitish Kumar

Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz, stationed in the RS Pura sector along the international border, lost his life on May 10, 2025, while displaying immense courage and leadership during heavy shelling. His sacrifice was a part of the ongoing security operations to safeguard the nation’s borders. In light of his heroic act, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had visited the martyr’s ancestral village of Narayanpur on May 13, 2025, and paid his respects. During his visit, the CM had promised that the son of the martyr would be given a government job as a token of gratitude and support to the family.

A Commitment to Supporting the Martyr’s Family

The Bihar government’s swift action reflects its commitment to the welfare of the families of soldiers who serve the nation. The state’s decision to grant this job provides not only economic relief to the family but also a mark of respect for the bravery exhibited by Mohammad Imtiaz during his service.

This move by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar further strengthens the state government’s stance on supporting families of martyrs, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered and honored through concrete actions.
