The Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, has taken two historic decisions that mark a new milestone in the state’s development journey. The Finance Department has approved the direct recruitment of 5,000 teachers and sanctioned administrative approval worth Rs. 78.15 crore for the construction of nine new nursing colleges across the state.

Education and Health: The Cornerstones of a Developed Chhattisgarh

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that education and health are the strongest foundations for sustainable development. He stated, “Our goal is to ensure that every child in Chhattisgarh receives quality education and every family has access to affordable and reliable healthcare.”

The recruitment of 5,000 new teachers will bridge staffing gaps, especially in rural and tribal areas, improving educational standards at the grassroots. Simultaneously, the establishment of nine new nursing colleges will expand healthcare capacity and open new avenues for employment and self-reliance among local youth.

“These initiatives will play a decisive role in realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh,” Mr. Sai said.

Education Minister: A New Chapter in State’s Academic Strengthening

Education Minister Mr. Gajendra Yadav hailed the financial approval as a turning point for the education sector, stating that it will significantly address the shortage of teachers across government schools.

He said, “Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, this recruitment will improve teaching quality and ensure that education reaches every corner of Chhattisgarh.”

Nine New Nursing Colleges: Expanding Healthcare and Employment Opportunities

Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal described the move as a milestone in the state’s healthcare sector, emphasizing that each of the nine new nursing colleges will be built with an investment of Rs. 8.68 crore, totaling Rs. 78.15 crore.

“This decision under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai will strengthen the state’s healthcare system and help build a skilled medical workforce,” Mr. Jaiswal said.

The nursing colleges will provide modern training infrastructure, enabling the youth to contribute effectively to healthcare services and reduce regional disparities in medical facilities.

Fiscal Discipline and Long-Term Investment in Human Capital

Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary termed these initiatives as strategic investments in Chhattisgarh’s human capital. He stated, “Every investment in education and health is an investment in the state’s future. Our government is committed to supporting these vital sectors while maintaining fiscal discipline.”

Mr. Choudhary added that the initiatives will not only generate employment but also boost social empowerment and inclusive development.

A New Era of Growth and Social Empowerment

The twin decisions of teacher recruitment and the establishment of nursing colleges underscore the Sai government’s people-centric governance model. They are expected to create thousands of job opportunities, improve access to essential services, and strengthen the overall human development index of the state.
