New Delhi: Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) & Safdarjung Hospital has entered into an agreement with Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) for the procurement, installation and commissioning of two Fujifilm ARIETTA 65 Ultrasound Systems for its Department of Urology & Renal Transplant.
The initiative, undertaken as part of IGL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, is aimed at strengthening specialised patient care and enhancing public healthcare infrastructure.
IGL Supports Safdarjung Hospital Through CSR Initiative
The agreement brings together VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital and IGL to improve the hospital’s medical infrastructure through the addition of advanced ultrasound equipment.
The two Fujifilm ARIETTA 65 Ultrasound Systems will be deployed for the Department of Urology & Renal Transplant, supporting specialised diagnostic and intraoperative requirements.
The initiative is expected to contribute to:

The agreement was formalised in the presence of senior officials from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital and IGL’s CSR team.

- Dr. Charu Bamba, Medical Superintendent and Chairperson, CSR Committee
- Mr. Rajesh, VP–CSR, IGL

Boost to Specialised Urology and Renal Transplant Care
The installation of the new ultrasound systems is expected to strengthen the Department of Urology & Renal Transplant’s diagnostic and intraoperative capabilities.
Advanced ultrasound systems can support specialised clinical procedures by providing imaging capabilities required by medical teams during diagnosis and treatment.
The initiative is therefore expected to contribute to more effective patient care while strengthening the overall healthcare infrastructure available at Safdarjung Hospital.
