Patna, Bihar: In a gesture of honoring the supreme sacrifice made by Border Security Force (BSF) Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz, who was martyred during “Operation Sindoor” in Jammu & Kashmir’s RS Pura sector, the Bihar government has fulfilled a commitment made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The government has issued a formal notification offering a government job to the son of the martyr, Mohammad Imdad Raza, under the compassionate appointment scheme.

A Promise Fulfilled by CM Nitish Kumar

Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz, stationed in the RS Pura sector along the international border, lost his life on May 10, 2025, while displaying immense courage and leadership during heavy shelling. His sacrifice was a part of the ongoing security operations to safeguard the nation’s borders. In light of his heroic act, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had visited the martyr’s ancestral village of Narayanpur on May 13, 2025, and paid his respects.
