Patna: The Bihar government has extended the third phase of its Farmer Registry Mega Campaign to February 11, allowing farmers to obtain their free digital identification (Farmer ID). Launched on February 2, the campaign is being conducted in mission mode across the state to ensure maximum participation and inclusion of farmers under the digital ID system.
The initiative provides free registration at all CSC (Common Service Centers) and Vasudha centers, with no service charges. Even the ₹15 service fee usually charged at these centers is being waived, fully borne by the department.
Multiple Registration Options for Farmers
Farmers can register for their digital ID in several ways:
- Visit CSC or Vasudha centers: Farmers can directly get their Farmer ID created with the help of on-site staff.
- Online Registration: Farmers can also create their ID themselves through the Bihar Farmer Registry Portal.
- Assistance from Local Officials: Panchayat agriculture coordinators, farmer advisors, and revenue officials are available to guide farmers in the registration process.
To register, farmers must have:
- Aadhaar card
- Mobile number linked to Aadhaar

Benefits of the Farmer Digital ID
The Farmer ID, a key component of the Agri Stack Project, links a farmer’s identity with their land records, enabling efficient, transparent, and farmer-centric access to government schemes.
Some benefits include:
- Direct access to schemes such as crop insurance, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), financial assistance, and compensation for crop loss
- Transparent and timely disbursement of government benefits
- Reduced administrative hurdles for farmers when availing state agricultural welfare programs
The initiative is part of Bihar’s efforts to modernize agriculture services and ensure that all eligible farmers directly benefit from government programs without delays or intermediaries.
Looking Ahead
With the extended deadline of February 11, the Bihar government aims to include a larger number of farmers under the digital ID system, strengthening the digital agriculture ecosystem and ensuring inclusive growth in the state’s farming sector.
