Patna: Six senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the Bihar cadre have been selected to participate in the Phase-5 training program at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. The 18-day training session is scheduled to take place from April 6 to April 24, 2026.
The officers have been instructed to register online by March 16, 2026, as part of the formal enrollment process for this prestigious leadership program.
Bihar Officers Selected for Phase-5 Training
The six senior IAS officers representing Bihar include –
- Arvind Kumar Chaudhary – Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department
- Santosh Kumar Mall – Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department
- Pankaj Kumar – Principal Secretary, Rural Development Department
- Sanjeev Hans – Additional Member, Revenue Board
- Robert L Chongthu – Principal Secretary to the Governor
- Vinay Kumar – Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department
These officers hold key administrative portfolios and are expected to gain enhanced leadership and policy management skills through the structured Phase-5 training program.
Phase-5 Training: A Step in Senior Leadership Development
Phase-5 training at LBSNAA is designed for senior IAS officers to strengthen governance capabilities, strategic decision-making, and administrative leadership. The program covers areas such as:
- Policy formulation and implementation
- Administrative ethics and governance
- Project management and sustainable development
- Leadership, crisis management, and innovation in public administration
By attending this program, officers enhance their skills to address complex administrative challenges at both state and national levels.
Online Registration and Preparations
The selected officers have been formally notified about the training program and must complete their online registration by March 16, 2026. Preparatory guidelines and course schedules will be provided by LBSNAA ahead of the training start date on April 6, 2026.
This training aligns with the Indian government’s broader focus on continuous capacity building for civil servants to strengthen governance and public service delivery across the country.
