Patna: The Nitish Kumar led Bihar government has reassigned new responsibilities to 12 IAS officers, while four IAS officers have been transferred, in a strategic administrative reshuffle announced by the General Administration Department.
The changes, made official through a notification issued on Saturday, involve transfers, additional charges, and first-time postings for officers awaiting assignment.
Key Transfers and Additional Charges
1992 batch IAS officer Harjot Kaur Bamhrah, Additional Chief Secretary of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, has been entrusted with the additional charge as Chairman cum Member of the Revenue Board.
1993 batch IAS officer Mihir Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries and Transport Departments, has been given the additional charge of Director General cum Chief Investigation Commissioner.
2008 batch IAS officer Dr. Ashima Jain, Finance Secretary, has been transferred and appointed as the Additional Member of the Revenue Board.
Rachna Patil has been transferred to the Finance Department as Secretary (Expenditure).
Ujjwal Kumar Singh, Special Secretary in Rural Works, has been assigned the position of Director of Animal Husbandry.
New Postings for Officers Awaiting Assignment
Sanjay Kumar, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Additional Director General, Bipad.
2012 batch IAS officer Arvind Kumar Verma, previously waiting for posting, is now Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
Satyendra Kumar Singh has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department.
Yashpal Meena, Additional Secretary of the Water Resources Department, has been given the additional charge of Director, Handloom and Silk Directorate until further orders.
Other Notable Changes
Krishna Kumar, Joint Secretary, Road Construction Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Museum, Art, Culture and Youth Department till further notice.
Ashutosh Dwivedi, Joint Secretary, Building Construction Department, has been assigned the additional charge of State Transport Commissioner.
