Buxar: Bihar has added a significant chapter to its industrial development with the inauguration of a mega factory in Navanagar, Dumraon sub-division, Buxar district. The factory, built at a cost exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, was inaugurated on Saturday by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Industry Minister Dilip Jaiswal, who launched the facility remotely by pressing a ceremonial button.
The opening of this high-investment industrial project has generated widespread excitement in the region. Local residents are hopeful that this development will reduce the need for migration in search of jobs and provide ample employment opportunities to the youth within their own district.
Mega Investment by the Laddani Family
The newly inaugurated factory, established by the Laddani family in Navanagar, stands as one of the largest private investments in Bihar in recent years. With an expenditure exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, the facility is expected to act as a major employment hub for skilled and unskilled labor in the region.
“This factory is a symbol of Bihar’s growing industrial landscape, ensuring that young people do not have to leave the state for meaningful employment,” said Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

- Promoting industrial investment and employment opportunities.
“The government’s aim is to provide dignified livelihoods to our youth within Bihar itself,” he added, emphasizing law and order and public safety as priorities alongside industrial growth.
Plans for Expansion and Further Industrial Growth
Industry Minister Dilip Jaiswal expressed gratitude to the Laddani family and encouraged further investments in the state. “We hope to see four to five more factories established in Bihar in the coming years. Over the next five years, Bihar will witness significant industrial expansion,” he said.
The government is providing all possible support to investors, creating a favorable environment for industries. This move aims to position Bihar not just as an agriculture-focused state but also as an emerging industrial hub.
Employment and Economic Opportunities for Locals
The inauguration has been welcomed by local residents, who anticipate direct employment opportunities in the factory as well as indirect growth in transportation, packaging, supply chain, and small businesses. The establishment of this plant is also expected to stimulate the development of ancillary services like hotels, shops, and other facilities in Navanagar and surrounding areas, boosting overall economic activity.
“This factory brings hope for reducing unemployment and fostering industrial development in Buxar,” said local community leaders.
Law and Order Assurance
Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary also addressed administrative officials, emphasizing strict adherence to law and order in Bihar. “Anyone violating the law will face strict action. Citizens should report any grievances directly to the administration for prompt resolution,” he stated.
This statement has been perceived as a strong assurance of the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order while promoting industrial growth.
Bihar’s Industrial Future
The inauguration of the Navanagar factory marks a pivotal step in Bihar’s industrial journey. As the state moves toward a balanced growth model combining agriculture and industry, such mega-projects are expected to reduce unemployment, enhance local skill development, and stimulate regional economic activity.
The Rs 1,000 crore investment sets a robust precedent for future industrial ventures, signaling Bihar’s potential as an emerging industrial destination in Eastern India.
