Patna: Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has announced the commencement of online ticket booking for festival buses operating during Holi and Eid. Approximately 200 inter-state buses will run from February 23 to March 23, helping migrant workers and travelers return home conveniently.
Passengers can book tickets through the official BSRTC website https://bsrtc.bihar.gov.in, where they can select their preferred seats. The online payment options include UPI, debit card, credit card, and net banking. Additionally, offline ticketing is available through on-spot e-ticket machines on buses for passengers boarding without prior bookings.
This initiative aims to reduce dependency on train tickets and provide a comfortable, affordable alternative for inter-state travelers.
Bus Operations Across Key States
BSRTC buses will primarily operate on routes connecting Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. The distribution of buses is as follows:
- Delhi: 62 buses
- Haryana (Panipat and Ambala): 40 buses
- Jharkhand (Ranchi): 10 buses
Buses will depart from major districts in Bihar, including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Gaya, and other key locations.
Comfortable Travel with AC and Sleeper Options
The buses will be available in AC, Sleeper, and AC-Sleeper categories to ensure maximum comfort for passengers. The state government has announced special fare discounts, making the journey more economical for travelers during the festive season.
