In a move that would benefit over 30 lakh Central Government employees, the Union Cabinet today announced a bonus for them for the year 2019-2020. The decision was taken by the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Decision.
Giving details, Union Minister Mr Prakash Javadekar said, “the Union Cabinet has approves productivity-linked bonus and non-productivity linked Bonus for 2019-2020. More than 30 lakh non-gazetted employees will be benefited by the bonus announcement and total financial implication will be ₹ 3,737 crores.’’
The money will be given in a single installment before Vijaya Dashami, Mr Javadekar added, expressing hope that “it would encourage spending and boost the economy.’’
