New Delhi: In a major boost to India’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors at India Energy Week 2026 to jointly develop India’s biggest Mega EV Charging and Engagement Hubs.
The partnership aims to strengthen the country’s EV ecosystem by creating large, high-capacity charging facilities across select BPCL retail outlets.
MoU Signed in Presence of Senior Officials
The MoU was signed by Mr. Gorav, Chief General Manager (Marketing), Retail HQ, BPCL, and Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML). The signing took place in the presence of Mr. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head (Retail), BPCL.

High-Capacity EV Charging Hubs Across BPCL Retail Network
Under the collaboration, BPCL and Tata Motors will establish mega EV charging hubs equipped with fast-charging infrastructure at strategic BPCL fuel stations across India. These hubs are designed to cater to the rising demand for quick and reliable charging solutions for electric vehicles.
Focus on Customer Engagement and EV Experience
In addition to charging facilities, the hubs will feature dedicated customer engagement zones, aimed at enhancing the overall EV ownership experience. The initiative seeks to improve convenience, reduce charging time, and encourage wider adoption of electric mobility.

The partnership aligns with BPCL’s vision of developing future-ready mobility infrastructure and supporting India’s transition towards cleaner and sustainable transportation. For Tata Motors, the collaboration strengthens its efforts to expand charging accessibility for its rapidly growing electric passenger vehicle portfolio.
