BPCL and Kia Partner to Integrate EV Charging into In-Car Infotainment and MyKia App

New Delhi: In a strategic move to support India’s electric mobility growth, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Kia India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate BPCL’s EV charging network into Kia’s in-car infotainment systems and the MyKia mobile application.

The agreement aims to deliver a seamless, connected charging and payment experience for electric vehicle users while enhancing journey planning capabilities across India.

MoU Signing Ceremony and Key Executives

The MoU was formally signed by:

  • Mr. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head (Retail), BPCL
  • Mr. Atul Sood, Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Kia

The event was attended by senior executives including Mr. Gorav, CGM (Marketing), Retail HQ, Mr. Thomas, Regional Head – West, Retail, and Mr. Ashish Goyal, Chief General Manager (Finance), Retail, highlighting the strategic importance of the partnership.

Focus on Seamless EV Charging and Payment Integration

Under the agreement, BPCL’s EV chargers will be directly integrated with:

  • Kia’s in-car infotainment system, enabling real-time charger location, availability, and route planning
  • MyKia mobile application, offering easy access to charging points, booking, and payment functionalities

The collaboration is designed to provide end-to-end convenience for EV users, allowing them to plan journeys more efficiently while ensuring hassle-free charging and payments.

Driving Adoption of Electric Mobility in India

BPCL and Kia emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to building customer-centric, connected mobility solutions. By integrating EV infrastructure with digital platforms, the collaboration aims to:

  • Enhance user experience for EV owners
  • Promote wider adoption of electric vehicles in urban and semi-urban areas
  • Support India’s sustainable mobility and decarbonisation goals

This initiative is part of a broader effort by BPCL to strengthen its EV charging network and provide smart, integrated solutions for the rapidly growing electric vehicle segment in India.
