RailTel Secures Rs 94.23 Crore Order from Modern Coach Factory for IP-Based Video Surveillance in LHB Coaches

New Delhi: Navratna public sector undertaking RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and work order from Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebareli, for the supply, installation and commissioning of IP-based video surveillance systems in LHB coaches.

The contract further strengthens RailTel’s presence in the railway digital and safety infrastructure segment.

Scope of Work and Project Timeline

As per the order details, RailTel will undertake the supply, installation and commissioning of IP-based video surveillance systems in LHB coaches, in line with RDSO specifications.

The project includes a three-year warranty period, followed by five years of Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC). The order is scheduled to be executed by January 28, 2034.

Order Value and Regulatory Disclosures

The estimated value of the contract is Rs 94.23 crore. RailTel confirmed that the order is a domestic contract and that neither the company’s promoters nor any promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority.

The company also clarified that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction, in line with regulatory norms. The order was received on January 29, 2026.

Stock Market Reaction

Following the announcement, shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd were trading 2.55% higher at Rs 351.30 on the BSE, reflecting positive investor sentiment around the order win.

Recent Order Wins Strengthen Order Book

Earlier this month, RailTel secured an annual maintenance contract worth Rs 140.71 crore from the Ministry of Defence. The company also received another order worth Rs 101.82 crore from the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for setting up and managing critical information technology infrastructure.
