Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the registration process for BPSC TRE 4.0 Recruitment 2026, which was scheduled to begin on September 1. The commission cited procedural changes and said it will announce the new registration date shortly.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 32,388 school teacher vacancies under the Bihar Education Department across primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary levels.
Registration Schedule Put on Hold
BPSC had earlier planned to accept applications from September 1 to September 30, 2026. However, candidates will now have to wait for the revised schedule.
The commission has advised applicants to follow its official updates for the new application procedure and dates.

32,388 Teaching Vacancies
The vacancies are distributed across different school levels:
- Classes 1–5: 3,847 posts
- Classes 6–8: 8,563 posts
- Classes 9–10: 3,877 posts
- Classes 11–12: 16,101 posts
The recruitment offers opportunities to eligible candidates seeking government teaching jobs in Bihar.
Salary Up to ₹32,000
Selected candidates will receive starting salaries ranging from ₹25,000 per month for primary teachers to ₹32,000 for higher secondary teachers, along with applicable state government allowances.
Bihar Plans 1 Lakh Teacher Appointments
The TRE 4.0 recruitment also aligns with Bihar’s larger plan to appoint around one lakh school teachers over five years.
The state government plans to recruit approximately 20,000 teachers every year from 2026 to 2030 to address teacher shortages from primary to higher secondary schools.
Candidates Should Wait for New Date
Once BPSC announces the revised schedule, candidates will be able to apply through the commission’s official website. Applicants should keep their educational and other required documents ready and follow the updated application instructions.
