Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the Bihar STET 2026 application deadline by 15 days following the direction of Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari. Candidates can now submit their online applications and examination fees until September 15, 2026.
Deadline Extended From August 31
The board had earlier fixed August 31 as the last date for submitting STET 2026 applications. The extension now gives candidates an additional 15 days to complete the application process.
The decision came after several candidates requested the Education Minister to extend the deadline. Tiwari had assured applicants that their request would receive consideration.

Candidates Get More Time
Taking the candidates’ concerns into account, BSEB decided to extend the deadline. Applicants who could not complete their forms by the earlier deadline can now use the additional time to submit their applications and pay the required fee.
The extension is expected to provide relief to candidates facing difficulties in completing the application process within the earlier timeline.
STET 2026 Application Deadline
Candidates planning to appear for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 should complete the online application and fee payment by September 15. The extension applies to both the online application and fee submission deadline.
The move gives aspiring teachers additional time to complete the formalities and prepare for the examination.
