19 IRS Officers Posted in Enforcement Directorate Given Extension

As per a government order, 19 IRS officers in the Enforcement Department (ED) have been given further extensions in their deputation in the financial probe agency.

Under the ministry of Finance, the Department of Revenue wrote in a letter to ED, “I convey the NOC of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs for extension of deputation tenures of following IRS (C&IT) officers in the Directorate of Enforcement”. IRS officer Rohit Anand, who was posted in the ED since March 2019, has been given an extension till March 2026.

IRS officer Amit Bhasker who was working in the agency since September 2017 has been given an extension till September 2024.

IRS officer Jasmeet Singh Dhandra who was working there since August 2018 has been given an extension till August 2025.

IRS officer Daulat Kumar who was working since October 2017 has been given an extension till October 2024.

IRS officer Kapil Yadav who was working since May 2017 has been given an extension till May 2024.
IRS officer Rajesh Kumar Jain who was posted in ED since December 2016 has been given an extension till December 2023

IRS officer Sudesh Kumar Sheoran who was posted in January 2017 has been given an extension till January 2024.

All the aforementioned officers are posted as Deputy commissioners.

Similarly, Arpita D. Naharya, Surender Malik, Umair Nabi, Ravindra Joshi, Jasveer Khichar, Sanjay Bangartale, are also posted as Deputy Directors and have been given extension, an official said.
Joint Director Rohit Dwivedi was given an extension till March 2006.

Surender Malik has reportedly been chosen as the Joint Development Commissioner for in Noida Special Economic Zone, and his services have been placed at the disposal of the DOC. The CBIC has no objection to his deputation in either organization, thus it is up to the ED to decide whether or not he joins the SEZ.
The letter written to ED Director reads, “Vigilance status of the above officers for the period they have served in CBIC before proceeding to ED on deputation is also enclosed. It is requested that as per instructions of DoP&T, the approval of Hon’ble Finance Minister for extension of deputation tenures in r/o the above said officers may kindly be taken at your end”.
