As the brutal murder of IAS officer G Krishnaiah on December 5, 1994, returned to headlines nearly 30 years later and the main convict in the Dalit officer’s killing was allowed to walk free after the Bihar government tweaked a law, the AGMUT Cadre IAS officers’ body came down heavily on the Nitish Kumar administration.

In its tweet, the AGMUT cadre IAS Officer’s Association wrote, “The AGMUT Cadre IAS Officers Association expresses its deep concern and anguish over the release of convicts responsible for lynching the then DM Gopalganj, Bihar Late Shri G Krishnaiah, IAS. The Association stands with the family in its fight for justice.”
