The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet handed the additional charge of Department of School Education and Literacy, to Senior IAS officer, Amit Khare, on Saturday, 24th October. However, this charge has been given to the officer on a temporary basis.
Khare, a 1985 batch IAS officer of Jharkand cadre has received the charge for a tenure of eight days, beginning from October 24 and ending on November 1st, as a filler to the position of Anita Karwal, a 1988 batch Gujarat-cadre IAS, on her absence on leave.
Currently, Khare holds the position of Secretary of Department of Higher Education.
