The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the empanelment of 12 IRS officers for promotion to the grade of Principal Chief Commissioner/Principal Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxes in the Indian Revenue Service (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs), for the panel year 2023.
The officers are-

- K Anpazhakan
- Sanjay Kumar Agarwal
- Sandeep Srivastava
- Roopam Kapoor
- Navneet Goel
- J S Chandrashekhar
- Anil Kumar Gupta
An extended panel has also been named which will be operated in lieu of officers included in the main panel but are retiring during the year 2023.
They are-
- Aruna Narayan Gupta
- Mohan Kumar Singh
- Srinivas Murty Tata
- Gurdeep Singh
