According to a statement of the labour ministry, 1990 batch IAS officer Mukhmeet S Bhatia will assume charge as the Director-General of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). The statement came out on Thursday 1 April 2021.
The veteran IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre has previously served as Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs and Ministry of Finance. He has also worked as Principal Secretary in the Department of Labour & Employment and Women & Child Development in the Jharkhand government.
Mr. Bhatia graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh and has a vast experience in managing district and state level organisations.
