1992 batch IPS officer Harmeet Singh has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Guwahati and has been relieved of his additional charge of Additional Director-General of Police (Administration and M&L).
Singh has replaced Munna Prasad Gupta who was substantively posted as ADGP (CID), Assam for the purpose of withdrawal of salary only and was allowed to function as Commissioner of Police Guwahati. Prasad is now posted substantially as ADGP (Vigilance & Anti-Corruption), Assam for the purpose of withdrawal of salary only.
