Jharkhand: IAS and IPS transferred, DIG of Dumka and Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela & Hazaribagh replaced

The state government issued transferred orders for the third within five months. In April 35 IPS were transferred while 18 IAS were assigned new postings in mid-July.

Ranchi : In another major reshuffle at police and administrative level, the Jharkhand state government have issued transfer and posting orders for two IPS and five IAS officers. A notification regarding the latest orders was issued by the Governor’s office on August 7. Earlier in April 35 IPS were assigned with new posting and in mid-July transfer orders for 18 IAS officers were issued which included several District Commissioners of the state.

According to the notification, Sudarshan Prasad Mandal will replace Narendra Kumar Singh as the DIG of Dumka. Prior to this Mandal was appointed as the DIG, Special Branch, posted under the protection of the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Mr. Singh, an IPS of 2006 batch has been transferred to the Home Defense Corps cum Fire Services Department. In April, he took the charge of Dumka DIG replacing Rajkumar Lakra. He has also served as the SP of Deoghar, Jharkhand.

Five IAS transferred

Along with the IPS officer, the state also transferred five IAS officers including the Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh and Seraikela. The Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language has issued a notification in this regard on Friday. According to the notification, Iqbal Alam Ansari, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsanwa district till further orders. He is currently posted as Special Secretary in Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department. On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela Anjaneyulu Dodde has been made Additional Secretary in the Home, Kara and Disaster Management Department till further orders. He will also hold additional charge of the Commissioner of Civil Protection. The 2011 batch officer took the charge of DC, Seraikela in 2019. He has also served as the DC of Dhanbad.

 At the same time, DC of Hazaribagh Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh will take up the new post as the Director of Primary Education Department till further orders. He will also have additional charge of the director of the Mid-Day Meal Authority.  The 2012 batch officer  has also served as the DC of Koderma Distrrict.  Replacing Bhuvnesh Singh, Aditya Kumar Anand (2013) will take the charge of Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh. He is currently serving as the Joint Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy.  Whereas, Kamal John Lakra, of  2006 batch  has also been given charge of South Chotanagpur Division. He is currently the Commissioner of North Chotanagpur Division.
