The Kerala State government has declared the mining and geology director post as an ex-cadre IAS post for one year.
The post of mining and geology director has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the cadre post of deputy secretary, orders in this regard were issued on Saturday.
IAS Devidas A, the commissioner of housing, has been transferred and posted as director of mining and geology against the ex-cadre post created. The officer will continue to hold the additional charge of the managing director post of the state pottery manufacturing marketing and welfare development corporation.
Thiruvananthapuram district collector Navjot Khosa has been transferred and posted as labour commissioner. IAS Jafar Malik, the information and public relations department, will hold full additional charge of the post of executive director, Kudumbashree.
IAS Chitra S, on return from leave on Monday, has been posted as joint secretary, health and family welfare department and will also hold full additional charge of the post of director, Kerala Medical Services Corporation Ltd.
