Half a dozen Madhya Pradesh State Administrative Service officers are going to get IAS award this year. The General Administration Department is preparing proposals for state service officers from the year 2001 to 2007. Proposals are being made on the basis of the service records of the officers. After the approval from the Chief Minister, the proposal will be sent to the UPSC. Last year, almost 17 officers of the state administrative service were awarded with IAS cadre.
According to the report, almost 19 state officers will be awarded with the IAS cadre. Names of three officers will be proposed for one post of IAS. Only names of State Administrative Service officers up to the age of 56 years will be included in it. Proposals will be sent by September.
