Unsung Hero: A Forest Guard Died in Tiger Attack in Uttarakhand

A 32-year-old forest guard died in a tiger attack in Corbett Tiger Reserve of Uttarakhand. He was on patrolling duty in the Kalagrah range of the national park.

This incident happened in the Paterpani area, where a tiger suddenly attacked the guard named Pawan Kumar and left him profusely bleeding. He was rushed to a medical facility where he succumbed to the injuries.

IFS officer Surender Mehra posted on X, “Another unsung hero #PawanKumar lost his life while patrolling in Core Area of #Corbett Tiger Reserve in a Tiger attack.
The memory of his supreme sacrifice for conservation will endure. 🙏”
