Senior IAS Neeraj Mittal Assigned Additional Charge as Secretary, DoNER, As IAS Chanchal Kumar Goes On Leave

Senior IAS officer Mr. Neeraj Mittal (1992-batch Tamil Nadu cadre), currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday, July 18, 2025, the competent authority has approved the assignment of this additional responsibility to Mr. Mittal from July 20 to July 24, 2025.

Additional Charge Due to Mr. Chanchal Kumar’s Leave

The temporary appointment comes in view of the leave of Mr. Chanchal Kumar (1992-batch Bihar cadre IAS officer), the incumbent Secretary of the Ministry of DoNER. Mr. Mittal will hold the charge during Mr. Kumar’s absence, ensuring the continuity of administrative responsibilities within the ministry.
