The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Mangesh Ghildiyal’s central deputation tenure. Ghildiyal, a 2012 batch IAS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre, currently serves as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

His tenure has been extended beyond October 1, 2025, until March 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Ghildiyal has been a key functionary in the PMO, involved in several high-level policy monitoring and coordination roles.

Gourangalal Das Appointed Ambassador to South Korea

In a major diplomatic posting, Gourangalal Das (IFS: 1999) has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of Korea. Das is presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
