Mr. C.S. Setty, Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI), has been elected as the new Chairman of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA). His appointment was confirmed during a meeting of the IBA’s Managing Committee on Friday.
Along with Mr. Setty’s election, the Managing Committee also approved the appointment of three Deputy Chairmen: Ms. A. Manimekhalai, Managing Director & CEO of Union Bank of India; Mr. Swarup Kumar Saha, Managing Director & CEO of Punjab & Sind Bank; and Mr. Madhav Nair, Country Head & CEO-India of Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait B.S.C. Additionally, Mr. B. Ramesh Babu, Managing Director & CEO of Karur Vysya Bank, has been appointed as the Honorary Secretary of the IBA.
