In a significant move to reinforce the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre across states, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has finalized the cadre allocation of 200 newly selected IPS officers from the Civil Services Examination 2023. As per the official allocation, the state of Rajasthan has received 10 IPS officers, including three native officers.

Rajasthan currently has a sanctioned IPS strength of 222, of which 206 officers are currently serving. With this latest addition of 10 IPS officers, the operational strength of the cadre will receive a crucial boost.
Among the 10 officers allotted to Rajasthan, three are natives of the state — Mr. Ayush Shrotriya, Ms. Riddhima Jain, and Mr. Sudhir Pratap Singh Charan. Other officers who have been allotted Rajasthan cadre include Mr. Siddharth Srivastava and Ms. Aditi Upadhyay from Uttar Pradesh, Ms. Aastha Jain from Delhi, Mr. Ritwik Mehta and Mr. Gyanendra Bharti from Bihar, Mr. M.N. Joshi also from Bihar, Mr. Bharath from Andhra Pradesh, and Mr. C. Rajkumar from Telangana.
Meanwhile, 22 candidates who hail from Rajasthan have been allotted cadres in other states. These include:
- Mr. Madhav Gupta and Mr. Lekhraj – Madhya Pradesh
- Ms. Sania Seervi and Mr. Avinash Chaudhary – Maharashtra
- Mr. Mohit Gupta, Mr. Shivank Chaudhary, Ms. Sarika Chaudhary, Mr. Ishwar Lal Gurjar, and Mr. Yogendra Meena – Uttar Pradesh
- Mr. Vijay Raghav Goyal, Mr. Koshinder, and Mr. Hemant Singh – Bihar
- Mr. Nikhil Sharma – Tamil Nadu
- Mr. Devesh Parashar – Nagaland
- Mr. Mohan Mangawa, Mr. Vinod Meena, and Mr. Shubham Meena – AGMUT
- Mr. Ajit Singh Khadda – Assam-Meghalaya
- Ms. Manisha Nehra – Telangana
- Mr. Mahakat Meena – West Bengal
- Mr. Ravinder Kumar – Haryana
- Mr. Abhishek Shira – Kerala
The allocation reflects the Centre’s continued efforts to strengthen policing and public administration across the country by ensuring optimal IPS distribution, especially in cadre-deficient regions.
