Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has formally released Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for its Electrical & Mechanical Department and Excavation Department, marking a major step toward operational consistency and governance.
The SOPs were unveiled during a ceremony attended by senior leadership, department heads, and officials.
Leadership at the Launch
The SOP release was jointly conducted by:
- Nilendu Kumar Singh – CMD (Chairman-cum-Managing Director)
- Pawan Kumar Mishra – Director (Finance)
- Chandra Shekhar Tiwari – Director (Technical & Operations)
- Anoop Hanjura – Director (Planning & Project)
- Pankaj Kumar – Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO)
Several Heads of Departments were also present, underlining the strategic importance of the initiative.
Objectives of the SOP
The newly released SOPs are designed to achieve three key objectives:
- Uniformity: Standardizing work methodologies across departments
- Transparency: Ensuring clear, open, and accountable processes
- Efficiency: Enhancing speed, quality, and resource utilization in operations

Officials highlighted that the SOP initiative will:
- Strengthen accountability at all levels
- Improve quality of performance and operational standards
- Enable better decision-making through structured workflows
- Drive overall efficiency and organizational growth
CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh emphasized the need for disciplined implementation and strict compliance to ensure that these SOPs translate into tangible improvements.
