The Government of India has approved the extension of central deputation tenure for three senior officers in key departments. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has sanctioned the extensions, as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on March 25, 2025.
Details of the Extensions
- Ms. Parama Sen (1994-batch IA&AS officer) will continue as Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure for an additional two years beyond August 2, 2025, i.e., until August 2, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Ms. Varsha Joshi (1995-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer) has been granted a two-year extension as Additional Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. Her tenure will now continue beyond July 26, 2025, until July 26, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Mr. Manoj Sahay (1994-batch IA&AS officer) will continue as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor (AS&FA) in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. His tenure has been extended until January 29, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
These extensions ensure continuity in leadership and policy implementation in their respective domains.
