Centre Releases ₹249.56 Crore to Uttarakhand Under Special Capital Investment Incentive Scheme 2025-26

Dehradun: The central government has released the second installment of ₹249.56 crore to Uttarakhand under the Special Capital Investment Incentive Scheme (SCIIS) 2025-26, a move aimed at accelerating infrastructure development and creating new employment opportunities in the state. The fund has been provided to the state government by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

CM Dhami Expresses Gratitude to Centre

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to the central government, stating that this financial assistance will play a significant role in strengthening the state’s infrastructure, promoting public utility development projects, and generating new employment avenues. He described the Centre’s support as a key step toward economic strengthening of Uttarakhand.

CM Dhami emphasized that the state government, in coordination with the Centre, is continuously working for the overall development of Uttarakhand. He assured that the funds will be utilised in a transparent, effective, and timely manner for capital projects including roads, bridges, urban and rural infrastructure, drinking water, energy, and other developmental works, ensuring direct benefits to the public.

Focus on Quality and Timely Implementation

The Chief Minister also highlighted that all projects funded through this scheme will meet quality standards and will be implemented without any delays. He added that these projects will not only boost the state’s economic activities but also provide employment opportunities at the local level.

Financial Assistance Strengthens Uttarakhand’s Development

In the current financial year 2025-26, the central government has provided Uttarakhand a total of ₹847.49 crore under the Special Capital Investment Incentive Scheme. This financial support is expected to accelerate various developmental projects and initiatives in the state, contributing to balanced, inclusive, and sustainable growth in Uttarakhand.

The state government has reaffirmed its commitment to utilising the funds efficiently to ensure that the benefits of development reach every citizen.
