Chandigarh: 6 Officials Reassigned, IAS Mandip Singh Brar Made Secretary, Culture

2018-batch IAS officer Hari Kallikkat has been assigned as Commissioner of Excise and Taxation and Secretary of the Agriculture Marketing Board.

The Chandigarh Administration has undergone a significant restructuring, resulting in the reassignment of various officials to new departments.

This change comes after the recent appointment of 2006 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre, Ms Prerna Puri to the UT Administration on October 11, 2024.

While 2005 batch IAS officer Mandip Singh Brar has been appointed as secretary, culture.

2018-batch IAS officer Hari Kallikkat has been assigned as Commissioner of Excise and Taxation and Secretary of the Agriculture Marketing Board.

As part of this overhaul, Rupesh Kumar will step down from his current role effective October 18, 2024.

In addition to these changes, several officers have been given extra responsibilities alongside their existing roles. The list is given below-
